As God reached out to us, we now reach out to others to express that same love, healing, and hope we found in Him. We do that as individuals in our places of work, in our families and neighborhoods, and wherever we find ourselves. We also do this as a church through ministry teams, ministry positions, and mission opportunities.
Reaching out to others is how we effectively express the love of God. When we share words intended to help someone connect to God or simply provide a coat for someone who does not have one, we are sharing the love of God. We need to reach out in word and deed.
The good news is the more we are filled with the love of God, the more we want to find ways to reach out. Love is not a commodity that can be stored and saved, but a dynamic power that has to keep flowing. Therefore, rather than our reaching out being something that is contrived and forced, it becomes the natural expression of who we are in Christ Jesus.
